Based on the Turtles' appearance in the TMNT anime, which was one of the debut articles on my wacky website, Scary-Crayon. (You can read the article here, as well as admire the melancholy old layout colors. ) I haven't gotten the Super Michaelangelo figure (yet...), but I think it came with a blue nunchaku -- hence the included weapon.
I drew this one back before drawing lots of goofy comics during work breaks made me really lazy with drawings, so this one was fairly involved for me. The thicker lines were done with a Sharpie marker, whereas I drew the thinner ones with a ballpoint pen. I did all of the shading from scratch in PSP, too -- that means no guidelines -- and without the benefit of a tablet -- which means I was marking the lines basically point by point all zoomed in. Very time-consuming. Still, I think it makes for a good tribute to one of the more amazing cartoons I've seen in my lifetime.
Woo-hoo! Super Mikey!
I'm so happy to find a pic of one of the Super Turtles. Not many people like them, but I'm one of the few who do.
You drew this very well. I like the simplicity of the face -- Makes him look cuter.
It looks really cool in full-view. The thing looks like it's actually popping out at you.
Before I ramble on forever, awesome work!
Not many people like the Super Turtles? I mean, I can understand why people wouldn't -- they are, after all, extremely weird -- but isn't that all the more reason to love them? I'd admittedly probably like them less if they had been introduced as part of the mainstream continuity, but for a development in a wacky foreign OVA they were kinda neat.
Anyway, thanks for the comment and the fave! I am very glad that you like the pic.
I watched that.... it scares me sometimes... yet it was sooooooooo funny. And the art didnt look half bad either. now only make them non-dbz-steriods-type

Yes, knowing is half the battle! Unfortunately, the other half of that battle cannot be won because ghoul April simply will not die.
If I had any action figure painting skills, I'd totally get an extra April to repaint as a ghoul. But I don't -- at least at the moment -- so someday I'll just have to track down that Bride of Frankenstein version.
